Chuck E. Cheese

"The place where a kid can be a kid"

Ain't that the truth! We went there yesterday to get the kids (and ourselves) out of the house. Sean started early searching for things to do indoors to get out of here for a bit. He first checked the movie schedules in Annapolis, we took the kids to see Alvin and the Chipmunks last Monday and they enjoyed it. No luck. Then he suggested Chuck E. Cheese. So we figured what the heck?!

The place was pretty empty, which was cool. When you arrive at Chuck E. Cheese they give each person in your party a unique stamp that consists of one letter and two numbers. It's placed on your wrist in a sort of black light ink. A child CANNOT leave Chuck E. Cheese with an adult unless their stamp matches. Pretty clever way of being secure in my opinion.

Well as soon as we made it through the rope the kids were off and running... WOW WOW WOW! They didn't even have any tokens yet and they were still psyched! Sean chased them while I got the pizza ordered and picked up some tokens. We got 60 tokens (that lasted about 2 hours) and the kids played stinkin roller ball pretty much the whole time. It's that game where you roll the ball up the little slope and it's supposed to go into the little hole. Once Sean showed Aidan how to roll the ball he was good... he even got it in the 10,000 point hole a couple of times. Clare on the other hand - whole different story. She was like gutter bowling that thing. I'm surprised she didn't take out some other kid. She was straight up chucking the ball all over the place. It was pretty funny. Then she got the hang of the "rolling" thing and the furthest she could get it was in the bottom part that awarded NO points. She didn't care she'd simply yell... I got it in!

Let me just say that both the kids and the parents enjoyed Chuck E. Cheese. We'll definitely go back there. It costs about the same as taking them to a restaurant for lunch but we actually get our money's worth there!
